Games like this is why the NCAA Division II Tournament is so interesting. Millersville, the No. 6 seed, and third-seeded West Liberty meet in the second of three games to be played at the California-hosted subregional on March 12 at 8 p.m. The teams are guided by two of the winningest coaches in Division II, and while both have enjoyed tremendous amounts of success playing in the same region, the two programs rarely meet (just once before) and play polar-opposite styles of basketball.

Millersville baseball's home debut will have to wait. Because of rain, the PSAC Eastern division doubleheader scheduled for Friday against West Chester was canceled and rescheduled for Sunday, March 14 at 1 p.m.

Following the same pattern it has nearly all week, the Millersville softball team won its first game of the day before falling in its second. The Marauders got an eight-run seventh inning to easily beat West Liberty, 14-4, but couldn't recover from an early 4-0 deficit in a 6-4 loss to Assumption at the National Training Center on Thursday.

Florida Southern got 20 hits over two games to sweep a doubleheader from the Millersville softball team by scores of 8-0 and 5-4 on Wednesday afternoon at the National Training Center.
3.10.10 | Women's Lacrosse
After leading Millersville to an impressive season-opening win last week, senior midfielder Liz Weekley was named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Easter Division Women’s Lacrosse Player of the Week, as announced by the conference Wednesday. Weekley, who was named the final PSAC East Player of the Week at the end of last year, nabs the conference’s first award of the 2010 season.

The Millersville women's basketball team won its third-straight PSAC Eastern Division title this season, and some of the key factors to its success were a trio of seniors and the consistent presence of 20th-year head coach Mary Fleig. On Tuesday, the coaches of the PSAC acknowledged the Marauders by naming Fleig PSAC East Coach of the Year and seniors Raquel Green, Ashley Moyer and Jenna Craig All-PSAC East.

The Millersville softball team has announced changes to its Wednesday schedule at the 2010 Spring Games at the National Training Center. The Marauders were originally scheduled to play Winona State at 11:30 a.m. and Belmont Abbey at 1:30 p.m. Instead, the Black and Gold will take on Florida Southern in a doubleheader, with game one to begin at 3:30 p.m.
