Millersville Strikes Out Hunger Campaign a Success
MU Softball / Central PA Food Bank
Millersville, Pa. — Back on Saturday, April 4, the Millersville softball team conducted a food drive in conjunction with the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank to "Strike Out Hunger" across the commonwealth. Tuesday afternoon, the Marauders delivered the goods.

Freshman Kelly Fitzgerald, sophomore Casey Coker, and juniors Lindsay Hosier and Amy Kossyk presented Jim Burns from the Central PA Food Bank with nine full boxes of collected food items. Everything from canned foods to prepared box meals to peanut butter and jars of pasta, plus many more items were included in the array of donations to the Central PA Food Bank.

The team, led by head coach Kathy Cummings, also presented Burns with a $50 check toward the purchase of food for needy families across Central Pennsylvania.

The Millersville University softball team wishes to thank all that came out and supported this great cause and helped make it such a success.

The team returns to the field on Thursday when it travels to Shippensburg for a PSAC East doubleheader.
