Final Results
Conway, S.C. – The two-day Coastal Carolina Invitational Track and Field Meet, comprised of 1,400 athletes and 40 different teams, has come to a close, with the Marauders having an impressive showing. The meet marked the first of the outdoor season for the Millersville’s men’s and women’s teams.
Sophomore
Elicia Anderson opened up the season with a notable time of 10:06.10 in the 3,000-meter run to earn second place, just seven seconds shy of the first place finisher. Junior
Emily Francisco nabbed 12th place in the 3,000 with a time of 10:30.60. In the 10,000-meter run, sophomore
Rebekah Moore landed seventh place in 39:04.46.
Senior
Michele Frayne secured a ninth place finish in the high jump, clearing a distance of 1.55 meters. She also took home 15th in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.33 seconds. Junior
Heather Miller placed 15th in the hammer throw, clearing a distance of 39.93 meters. Miller earned 17th place in the javelin with a distance of 31.56 meters.
On men’s side, sophomore
Keith Ogden garnered ninth place in the 100-meter dash in 10.97 seconds, with .38 seconds separating ninth and first place. Ogden took home 13th place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.28 seconds.
Senior
Josh Foulds ran a fourth-place finishing time of 33:02.86 in the 10,000. In the 3,000, junior
Jared Kneebone ran a time of 9:08.75 to take home 15th.
Junior
Jorrel Nugent placed eighth in the long jump, leaping a distance of 6.73 meters. Junior
Derrick Bass followed in 13th with a distance of 6.41 meters. In the triple jump, senior
Stephen Boyd jumped for 12th place with a distance of 12.86 meters.
The Marauders return to the south from March 18-20 for the 49er Classic in Charlotte, N.C. Results will be made available after each day of competition.
