West Chester, Pa. - The Millersville women's lacrosse team could not keep pace with sixth-ranked West Chester Thursday afternoon. The Golden Rams remained perfect in the PSAC East by handing the Marauders a 20-3 defeat.
West Chester (11-2, 9-0) controlled every aspect of the game. It out-shot Millersville (5-8, 2-7) 45-13, and it marked just the third time this season that the Marauders were held under 10 goals.
Katrina Segar actually gave the Marauders a 1-0 lead just 22 seconds into the game, but West Chester reeled off nine unanswered to put the game well out of reach.
Segar finished the game with a goal and an assist.
Liz Weekley and
Kelly Kemper also scored a goal apiece.
Millersville will look to bounce back Sunday at home in a non-conference contest against Regis. Game time is scheduled for 1 p.m. At 10:30 a.m., the program is hosting its annual alumni game. It will also be accepting donations for "Lax 4 Life" throughout the day.
