Weekley Named PSAC East Player of the Week for Second Time

Millersville, Pa. - For totaling 10 goals and six assists in a three game span last week, Millersville junior Liz Weekley was named PSAC East Women's Lacrosse Athlete of the Week.
It was the second time this season that Weekley was honored by the conference. The junior led the Marauders to two victories and continued to climb up the Millersville career scoring list.
Against Kutztown on April 14, she set a season high with seven goals and also tallied two assists, marking the second time this season she has totaled nine points in a game. Five days later against Regis, Weekley contributed four assists and two goals, accounting for nearly half of the team's 13 goals in the game.
Weekley scored at least one goal in each game during the week and now has 138 career goals, placing her fourth among Millersville career goal leaders. With one game remaining in 2009, Weekley has a team best 43 goals and 23 assists.
While her goal totals are down from her single-season record of 68 in 2008, she has upped her assist total by 14. Currently, her 43 goals are the eighth-best single-season mark and her 23 assists are the fifth highest.
Weekley also ranks fifth all-time in career points with 176 and eighth in career assists.
