Mrakovich Earns Second Team All-PSAC Eastern Division Honors
Mrakovich with M
Millersville, Pa. — Capping a season in which she totaled a career-high 56 hits, senior Janelle Mrakovich was named to the All-PSAC Eastern Division Second Team at the designated player/utility position on Friday afternoon.

Mrakovich also led the team in batting average (.378) and RBIs (28), while playing a majority of her season at first base or in the designated player position. The Marauder veteran compiled a .987 fielding percentage, converting 155-of-157 chances.

The Middletown, Pa. native racked up a season-high five RBIs in a win over Philadelphia on March 9 and also had a 4-RBI game, including a home run, in a win over Columbia Union on March 15. The southpaw also saw time in the circle, picking up two wins and striking out 21 batters in 12 appearances for the Black and Gold.

Mrakovich, a 2008 All-PSAC Eastern Division First Team member, becomes just the eighth player in school history to be named to multiple all-conference teams. She joins Audra Landers (1998-99), Janell Smith (1998, 2000), Andrea Curwood (2001-02), Laura Harris (2002-03), Meghan Sinback (2004, 2006), Brandi Catherman (2004-05), and Alexa Ashwell (2005-07) in that elite group of Millersville softball players.

Mrakovich transferred from Columbia Union following her freshman year. She finished her 3-year MU career with 10 home runs, 79 RBIs, and a .332 batting average. She also amassed 17 wins and 163 strikeouts in 262.1 innings of work as a pitcher.
