Jennings
Millersville, Pa. — Senior Priscilla Jennings, one of the most storied runners in school history, earned another honor on Saturday when she was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America Women's Track and Field/Cross Country Third Team.

Jennings, a four-time All-American in track and field, earned a spot on a College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) selected Academic All-America team for the first time in her career by performing in both track and field/cross country and racking up a 3.80 cumulative GPA in the classroom, while majoring in elementary education. The Quarryville, Pa. native was just named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District 2 College Division First Team on June 5.

Jennings capped her senior season on the track by winning the 800-meter run and 1,500-meter run at the 2009 PSAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships. She also claimed her fourth career All-America honor with a sixth-place finish in the 5,000-meter run at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships.

In cross country, Jennings was fifth at the PSAC Championships, third at the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional, and 56th at the NCAA Division II Championship.

Jennings was previously honored as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field selection in 2008, and also the same recognition during the 2008 cross country season.
