Millersville, Pa. — The Millersville softball team will be hosting numerous opponents from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Maryland in the inaugural Millersville Fall Tournament on Saturday, September 26. All games will be held at the Millersville University Softball field.
Millersville opens the tournament against Elizabethtown College at 9 a.m., before taking on Burlington County College at 10:30, and McDaniel College at 6 p.m.
Saturday’s tournament will be the first chance for the Black and Gold’s incoming players to get acclimated to Head Coach
Kathy Cummings’ system and a set of new teammates. It will also serve as an opportunity for returning players to hit the field in preparation for the spring. The Marauders are hoping their fall tournaments will lead to an improvement on last season’s 24-25 record, during the 2010 season next spring.
Next weekend the softball team will be participating in the Lebanon Valley Tournament.
Rutgers-Camden will also field a team in this weekend’s tournament, in addition to the three opponents Millersville faces.
