Bernhardt Breaks School Record in Second Day of PSAC's

Mechanicsburg, Pa. – Day two came to a close of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Women's Swimming Championships with freshman Sarah Bernhardt breaking yet another Millersville record, and two Marauder relay teams earning the top 12 finishes.
After not competing in the first day of the championships, Bernhardt, with a time of 25.19 seconds, broke the 50-yard freestyle school record she set earlier this season. Bernhardt placed 30th place in the preliminary round, followed by Breann Martinez in 40th place. The two advanced to the finals, but did not place in the top 16.
The 200-yard freestyle relay team swam a school record-tying time of 1:41.11 in the preliminary round to qualify for the finals. The squad, comprised of Bernhardt, Sara Steinagel, Amie Mowery, and Martinez, finished 12th in the finals, clocking in at 1:41.70.
The 400-yard medley relay team finished with a time of 4:09.33 in the preliminary round to qualify for the finals, as well. Kelsie Jones, Martinez, Bernhardt, and Mowery finished the finals in 4:10.77 for a 12th-place finish. In the 200-yard individual medley, Arielle Walbert claimed 27th, followed by Jones in 39th and Mowery in 42nd, in the preliminary round, but did not place in the finals.
After two days, Millersville sits in 12th place. West Chester leads the pack in first place with 272 points. Results will be made available after completion of each day.
