Liz Weekley was named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Easter Division Women’s Lacrosse Player of the Week, as announced by the conference Wednesday. Weekley, who was named the final PSAC East Player of the Week at the end of last year, nabs the conference’s first award of the 2010 season.
As the Marauders (1-1) dominated Shepherd 21-5 in their first game of the season, Weekley recorded a game-high four goals off of nine shots. She also tallied four assists, caused two turnovers, and won two draw controls in the victory.
Despite falling to Rollins earlier this week, Weekley notched three goals on four shots and added an assist. She picked up three ground balls and caused two turnovers.
Weekley’s player of the week honor marks her third from the conference in two seasons. She currently leads the Marauder squad with 12 points, consisting of seven goals and five assists. Weekley also holds a .769 shot on goal percentage.
