Millersville, Pa. - Successful Millersville men's basketball coach Fred Thompson has set the dates for his annual "Fred Thompson Basketball School." The first session will be held from June 14-18 and the second session is from July 12-16.
The camp is for young men ages 7-16 and emphasizes fundamentals of offensive and defensive basketball with drills specifically designed for the ability of each camper. Each day begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m. The camp will be held inside Pucillo Gymnasium. Lunches will be provided in the campus dining halls.
Thompson, who has led Millersville to 200 victories in 12 years, serves as the camp director. He has also guided the Marauders to three NCAA Regional championship games, three PSAC Eastern Division titles and two PSAC Tournament crowns.
Longtime assistant coach Damian Pitts, former Penn Manor head coach John Erisman, former Millersville stars Charlie Parker, Greg Testa and Her Harris will also serve as camp instructors.
