Marauders Complete First Round of Navy Spring Invitational

Annapolis, Md. - The Millersville men's golf team opened play at the Navy Spring Invitational Saturday and enter round two tied for 13th in the 21-team field.
Millersville shot a team score of 34-over-par on the par 71 United States Naval Academy Golf Club, and stand knotted with Siena. Navy, playing on its home course, lead by 10 shots over Columbia following a splendid 2-over-par round.
Brian Cooper paced the Marauders with a 6-over-par 77 and heads into round two tied for 29th out of 105 players. Shane Henry finished two shots behind but was tied for 50th. Dan Brown turned in a 9-over-par round, putting him in a tie for 61st. Matt Dudas shot an 82, and Nick Magenta finished with an 83.
The invitational closes Sunday afternoon.
