Webster, Men's 4x100 Break School Records at PSAC Championships

West Chester, Pa. - Following two days of action at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Outdoor Track and Field Championships, the Millersville men's team sits in fourth place with 18 points, while the women are in seventh with 13 points. Slippery Rock leads the women's side with 54 points and Shippensburg leads the men with 58.
The Millersville men's team saw school record-breaking performances and top finishes on Friday.
Avery Webster broke his own school record in the hammer throw by two feet and claimed fifth place with a distance of 163-10. Webster also earned All-PSAC honors with a runner-up finish in the shot put with a throw of 51-6 1/2.
The 4x100-meter relay team of Keith Ogden, Jeff Robinson, Stephen Boyd, and Anthony Adamski broke the Millersville record with a preliminary heat time of 41.93 seconds. Their time landed the squad fourth place and advanced them to the final heat on Saturday.
Zac Kohler finished the decathlon in fifth place with a season-best total of 5,863 points.
Going into the 200-meter dash with the fastest time in the conference, Robinson won the prelims with a career-best time of 21.48 seconds. That time was an NCAA provisional qualifying mark. He placed seventh in the preliminary heat of the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.00 seconds to advance to the finals.
In the prelims of the 400 hurdles, Ogden finished fifth and advanced to the finals with a time of 54.38 seconds.
In women's action, Elicia Anderson took home fourth place in the 5,000-meter run with an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 17:13.59. Michele Frayne finished fifth in the heptathlon, picking up a season-best total of 4,658 points.
Crossing the line in a season-best time of 1:04.69, Chrissy Savage placed eighth in the preliminary round of the 400-meter hurdles and advanced to the finals.
Action continues on Saturday at 11 a.m. Results will be made available after completion of the meet.
