Anderson Leads Women at PSAC Championships

West Chester, Pa. – Landing an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 21.48 seconds, Jeff Robinson captured gold in the 200-meter dash at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Men's and Outdoor Track and Field Championships Saturday. Robinson is the first Millersville male athlete to win a PSAC Championship event since Dan Ober in 2004, and the first to win the 200 in 14 years.
Not only did he win the 200, but Robinson also finished fourth in the 100-meter dash in 10.99, just .14 behind first-place finishing Andrew McCloskey from East Stroudsburg.
Jim Boyer posted a fifth-place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, running a season-best 9:25.67.
The men's 4x100-meter relay team of Keith Ogden, Robinson, Stephen Boyd, and Anthony Adamski landed a fourth-place finish with a time of 41.99 seconds.
In women's action, Elicia Anderson turned in a time of 10:09.63 in the 3,000-meter run and snared a fifth-place finish. Capturing her third top-five finish of the weekend, Anderson also placed fifth in the 1,500-meter run, clocking in at 4:42.45.
The Millersville women finished seventh out of 14 teams with 31 total points, while the men finished ninth out of 13 teams with 43 points.
Those who qualify will travel to the NCAA Division II Championships in Charlotte, N.C. from May 27-29.
