Millersville, Pa. - Former Millersville men's basketball standout Makal Stibbins recently signed a one-year contract with Avanti Mondorf of Luxembourg's professional N2 league.
Stibbins is the team's most recent addition, and he will try to improve upon the team's 11-9 record last season. Avanti Mondorf was attracted to the 6-8 power forward after he averaged 22.2 points, 6.9 rebounds and 3.5 blocks per game with the Harrisburg Horizon of the Eastern Basketball Alliance (EBA).
As a member of the Horizon, he played alongside Millersville teammates Charlie Parker and Reggie Bates. All three former Marauders played in the EBA All-Star Game. Jamal Palmer, a 1999 Millersville graduate and PSAC East Player of the Year, served as the team's head coach.
During his senior year with the Marauders, Stibbins averaged 14.5 points and a team-leading 8.9 rebounds per game. He was named All-PSAC East Second Team at season's end.
