Annual Black & Gold Golf Classic Set for May 14

Millersville, Pa. – The Millersville Athletics Department has scheduled its 11th annual Black & Gold Golf Classic for Monday, May 14, 2012 at the Meadia Heights Golf Club in Lancaster. It is a day to support the Marauders and a day that promises camaraderie and fun!
The Black & Gold Golf Classic is open to anyone looking to support Millersville University Athletics. The Classic is the largest one-day fundraising event for the department and all funds generated for the event benefit scholarships and athletic operations. The student-athletes and athletic programs depend on the support of alumni, corporations and friends.
The individual sign-up fee to participate is $250. Participants can also do a Green & Tee sponsorship for $500. The fee to sign up as a foursome is $1,000 and a corporate foursome fee including two hole signs is $1,250. Please dress in appropriate golf attire to play (no denim or t-shirts).
The format of the event is a scramble. Registration and a Warm-up begin at 10:30 a.m. and the driving range is going to be open at that time as well. A silent auction also begins at 10:30 a.m. At 11:30 a.m., lunch will be served on the patio.
The golfing starts at 12:30 p.m. with a shotgun start. Refreshments will be served at select holes throughout the course and also at the turn. Following the conclusion of play, raffle winners and golf prizes are awarded. Finally, reception and dinner will take place and all final bidding on the silent auction is done at this time.
