Military Appreciation Day and Black & Gold Game Set for Saturday

Millersville, Pa. - The Millersville athletic venues will be hopping with events on Saturday, April 27. The baseball and softball teams host Military Appreciation Day at 1 p.m., the football team caps its spring season with the annual Black & Gold Spring Game at 6:30 p.m., and the men's soccer tournament hosts a tournament at Biemsderfer Stadium.

The baseball and softball teams both host West Chester for PSAC East doubleheaders, and shirts will be sold at both sites with proceeds benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project. Fans at both games will receive a free bag of Herr's chips, and Kunzler Hot Dogs will be sold for $1 at the baseball game.

The Black & Gold Spring Game gives fans a first look at new Coach Greg Breitbach's 2013 squad. The first 100 fans to the game receive a free Black & Gold whoopie pie from Millersville Dining Services. 2013 Millersville football t-shirts will also be sold. Immediately following the game, a postgame reception for alumni will take place in Osburn Hall. The reception gives alumni a chance to gather and meet Breitbach and his staff.

The men's soccer team will host the Millersville Spring Tournament starting at 11 a.m. The Marauders host Montclair State at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. and York College at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Games will be 45 minutes long with a 15-minute break in between games. Come out and support the Marauders as they try and remain undefeated in spring play.
