Millersville, Pa. – The Millersville women's basketball team played dominant fourth quarter defense and pulled away for a 71-52 PSAC Tournament win over the visiting Lock Haven Bald Eagles Saturday.

Lock Haven built a 9-5 first quarter lead before Millersville capped off the period on a 7-0 run including a last second 3-pointer from
Tyisha White. The Marauders built a 28-19 halftime lead and withstood a Bald Eagle third quarter charge that saw the Marauder lead dwindle to one, but the Marauders responded by closing the quarter on a 23-11 run. Lock Haven was only able to muster 12 fourth quarter points as the Marauders built a 24 point lead at 69-45 at the 2:25 mark of the quarter.

The Marauders' balanced scoring attack shot 47 percent from the field and were paced by forward
Aunjel Van Brakle who finished with a season-high 21 points and 11 rebounds. Van Brakle was 8-of-11 from the field, 3-of-3 from downtown and had four offensive rebounds. Millersville held LHU to 31.6 percent from the field.

J.J. Hilliard and Mackenzie Livingston paced the Bald Eagle scoring attack with 13 and 12 points respectively. The PSAC's top rebounder Lysa Mealing finished with 20 boards.

With Saturday's win, the Marauders improve to 19-8 on the season and travel to Shippensburg for a PSAC Quarterfinal clash on Tuesday. Each team has earned a victory on the opposing home floor with Millersville earning a 63-50 win on Feb. 10.
