Orris Named PSAC East Athlete of the Week

Lock Haven, Pa. - Millersville senior shortstop Tyler Orris made history while helping the Marauders to a 5-0 week. On Monday, he was named PSAC East Athlete of the Week.
Orris set a new Millersville record and moved into second in the PSAC record books with 556 career assists after totaling 18 over five games. Orris was perfect on 24 chances in the field, and also was the team's table setter as the leadoff hitter in the lineup. Orris went 10-for-17 and drew five walks, stole four bases and scored five runs.
He went 3-for-4 in both games against St. Rose, and tallied two hits in games against Le Moyne and Post. In the opener of the Saturday doubleheader against Post, Orris drew three walks and stole a base.
With Orris' help, the Marauders ran their record to 15-1 with 14 consecutive wins, matching a program record.
PSAC East play begins on Friday at home against Mansfield.
