Men's tennis drops spring opener to the Senators

ELKINS, WV. - The Millersville University men's tennis team struggled against the Senators from Davis & Elkins College in its spring-opening dual match. In singles play, the Marauders were swept by their opponents, while the duo of Sandor Wulf and Axel Duclos recorded the team's lone victory in doubles.
The Senators earned all six points in singles and secured the overall doubles point. Wulf and Duclos were the only Marauders to defeat a Davis & Elkins pairing, winning their match 6-3. Adrian Weisser and Paul Bagnouls narrowly missed earning a doubles victory, falling 6-3, while Milan Urbanek and Daniel Ducheyne dropped their match 6-2.
Ducheyne was the only Marauder to earn a set win in singles play, but ultimately fell in the extended match. After struggling in their opening sets, Wulf (2-6), Weisser (1-6), and Urbanek (3-6) improved in their second sets but still fell short, each dropping the set 4-6.
The Marauders are back in action Tuesday, March 10 at 2:00 p.m. when they travel to face the Bobcats of Frostburg State.
