Dr. Wendy Wheeler Dietrich joined the Millersville University Athletic Training staff in the summer of 2019.
She came to Millersville following stints as an athletic trainer with Stormont Vail Health System and Joint Fit Chiropractic and Sports Medicine. From 2005 to 2017, she was an associate professor and athletic trainer at East Stroudsburg University.
While at East Stroudsburg, Wheeler Dietrich secured four grants for the department including an NCAA CHOICES grant and a grant for ImPACT testing. She was presented with the East Stroudsburg University Winning Warrior Award and a certificate of Recognition for Extraordinatry Personal Action by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 2011. She was the ESYou Honoree of the Year in 2016-17. She has also served as a presenter at the PATS Annual Symposium.
Prior to her time at East Stroudsburg, Wheeler Dietrich worked as an instructor, assistant athletic trainer and head strength and conditioning specialist during the 2004-05 year at St. Mary's College.
She earned a doctor of athletic training degree from the University of Idaho in 2013. She also received a post-master's certificate in sports psychology from California (Pa.). After receiving a bachelor's degree in kinesiology and exercise science from the University of Kentucky, Wheeler Dietrich earned a master's degree in athletic training from West Virginia University.
