Millersville, Pa. - Millersville baseball coach Jon Shehan recently added three more commitments to his already impressive 2010-11 recruiting class, bringing the total haul to 13 players.
In addition to the 10 that signed in the fall, junior college recruits Mike August and Mike Perez and Waynesboro High School product Jesse Mowen will also take the field for the Marauders in the spring of 2011. It is the largest class of Shehan's tenure, and he continues to add talent to a program that has won 70 games in his three years after it won no more than 19 in the previous five years.
"Perez, August and Mowen complete a very talented recruiting class—one that combines speed, power and a number of solid arms," said Shehan. "Each one of these athletes shares the vision of building our program into one that annually competes for a PSAC Championship as well as a chance to play in an NCAA Division II World Series. August and Perez come from a highly competitive junior college league in Maryland, while Mowen brings forth experience from Waynesboro High School—a program rich in talent and tradition. I look forward to seeing all three of these young men in action as Marauders."
